The long awaited wedding of the year has finally arrived. Our jie jie is getting married. I was invited to be one of her ji mui. What does a ji mui do? This is my first time being a ji mui and I'm inexperienced.
The theme color for this wedding is purple and coincidentally we put on the darker tone of purple. In the end, we headed to the bride's place to have breakfast and to have a last briefing of the trouble we're going to put the groom through.

the bride can't leave the house without her footwear, no?
I heard terrible stories of bananas tied around the crotch and the brothers had to eat them up. Nah, we want to get them married so.
After pretty much shameless self whoring, getting some breakfast and admiring Jenny's bridal beauty the guys troop came and we mildly teased and tormented them before letting the couple reunite.

The tea ceremony went on and I got teary mind. I cannot imagine being married out and leaving the family. Symbolically leaving the family - being absorbed into another.
Anyways, moving on .. we had the brothers to drive us to the groom's place as there are limited parking. Being a ji mui means following where the bride goes and since she went to the groom's place for his side of family for the tea ceremony.

After that, we went to another house for the wedding ceremony. Prayers and the exchange of the wedding rings. That was the end for the morning part.
Rest for a while before I got ready for the wedding dinner. Traded my purple dress for a gray one. Got there early to join the other ji mui to become an usheress. Pointing guests to their seats.

did Jenny picked 38 (sampat) for our table? hehe
When it was dinner time, our table of ji mui and lovely young ladies attacked the first three dishes very unlady like. It was fun to meet old friends and reconnect during the wedding. At the end of the night, we took turns to take a photo with the beautiful bride who is now a wife.
Congratulations to the newlyweds and thank you Jenny for letting me be a part of your special day! :)
